Inconsistent
I trust the NOW brand for my essential oil needs and I love All Star Health. As for the Lavender the smell is often very off….. I understand that crops from year to year vary but sometimes it smells really bad. I don’t know if the smell has any indication of how good the product works but I have actually returned bottles because of the awful smell. LET ME SAY, this has been occasionally and only the Lavender that I have had this problem. I use almost all of the NOW essential oils and overall very pleased!

This is a very good brand. Very potent, which I like. Great price.

Does not smell like lavender. Smells bitter, like a blend of citronella and lemongrass oils.
I would give 0 stars if there was such an option. I am buying Now Foods brand lavender essential oil for over 5 years. All those years, I was satisfied with the quality of the product and with the value. Recently, I bought 4 bottles of Now Foods essential lavender oil, 2 oz each. These bottles have child-proof caps. When I opened one of them, to my surprise it strongly smelled not like usual lavender, but more like a blend of lemongrass and citronella! The smell didn't change after diluting. I still had 1 bottle from the old batch I bought from All Star Health the last time, opened it and there was that normal lavender smell. So, I don't know what kind of oil Now Foods put in the new batch I bought, but it definitely not lavender essential oil from flowering tops.

Nothing like a little spray of lavender oil on your pillow before bed!!
