Lutein is a xanthophyll carotenoid with extensive research correlating lutein supplementation with a reduction of age-related macular degeneration. Zeaxanthin is also a xanthophyll carotenoid found in the retina of the eye and may also prevent macular degeneration. Vitamins A, C, E, B2, zinc and selenium are all very important in maintaining healthy eye function.*

Lutein, is a carotenoid found in dark green leafy vegetables, is a dominant pigment in the macular region of the eye.
