NADH

NADH: Information

NADH, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a coenzyme of vitamin B3 occurring in all living cells. NADH stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a compound vital to energy release at the cellular level. NADH may also be responsible for stimulation of increased production of neurotransmitters in the brain responsible for healthy mental function. Fish, poultry, beef, and foods made with yeast all contain NADH, though it is not known how efficiently the body can absorb NADH from these sources.

NADH's Health Benefits

Studies show that NADH supplementation may ward off fatigue and increase energy. It is also thought to help improve concentration and athletic endurance, however more research is needed to prove these claims. Some research has shown evidence that NADH may help improve the symptoms of the following conditions: chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and depression.
