My regret
I'm aware that the title of my comment may be misleading.
But I purposely worded it like that because I regret not using Goldenseal capsules for years. Yes, I said YEARS. During the time (years ago) when taking golden seal while my body wasn't feeling perfectly well or good, I noticed a difference when I'll swallow Goldenseal and felt better almost instantly.
I have no idea, on paper, why I stopped (something close to price), but I know now that I need to get back on the Goldenseal wagon!
I'm currently sick with, I believe, acute bronchitis which was diagnosed just a few years ago with that familiar cough, and run down, sick feeling. Thinking back to just past Friday (today is Sunday) I had a sore throat, and and went to bed feeling horrible, with the feeling that I'm going to cough my life out of existence.
Anyway, though I'm sick, later on I'm gonna get reading to go out and get myself some Goldenseal capsules. Yep, lesson learned.

I don't leave home without it!
I always keep GS with me all the time; if not for me then always for someone coming down with something that needs to know about it. I've been using GS since the 80's. If I get a headache (which may be a warning of something coming on), stomach upset, or if I get even a hint that a cold or flu may be coming on, I take two every 4 hours if it's serious like the flu or food poisoning and then 1 every four hours when feeling better or less serious ailment. Have GS and Garlic.....will travel! They say if you have blood sugar issues to take licorice root with it but it may not be necessary. <3

Used goldenseal root for over 30 years now
I dont think this should be overused, but like to take it with veggie juices a few times a week now and then, for the many benefits. Evidence of anti-cancer effects, helps kill off pathogens in the gut and traditionally thought of as helping lymph and blood "cleansing."
