Use as directed. Alfalfa has very low toxicity. The recommended dosage of alfalfa for lowering cholesterol levels range from 250-1000 mg, taken 2-3 times daily with meals. Alfalfa supplements are available liquid, tablet and capsule forms.

Side effects and Cautions:

Possible mild blood thinning effect. Alfalfa is not recommended for people with Lupus.
