Doan's Extra Strength Caplets provide fast and effective pain relief for aching backs. Each caplet contains a pain reliever called Magnesium Salicylate Tetrahydrate, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Adults experiencing back pain should take 2 caplets with a full glass of water every 6 hours, not to exceed 8 caplets in 24 hours.
Doan's Pain Relieving Cream contains the maximum strength of Lidocaine available without a prescription plus Menthol. The dual-action of Lidocaine and Menthol serves as a local anesthetic and topical analgesic. The lidocaine starts working on contact to numb away pain while the Menthol provides a pleasant, cooling sensation on your back. Simply apply a thin layer of the non-greasy cream on the affected area every 6 to 8 hours, not to exceed 3 applications in 24 hours. Wash hands after applying.
Children under 12 years: do not use Doan's Extra Strength Caplets unless directed by a doctor.
