Great price for alpha lipoic acid!
I first heard about alpha lipoic acid when I was researching Syndrome X and insulin resistance. I was intrigued by the studies showing that it exhibited powerful blood glucose and insulin-sensitizing effects when taken in high doses. I wanted to take it in 600mg doses, but it was too expensive given that the majority of products were in 100mg or 200mg capsules and I didn't want to take 3-6 caps each time to get my preferred dose. Gotta love Doctor's Best and their 600mg capsules. Apparently the formulator at DB read the same research I did, because this is the exact product I was looking for, and at such a high dose you wouldn't ever look for ALA in a 600mg capsule unless you stumbled across that study. Regardless, can't beat the price and quality. The capsule powder color is light yellow, one of the tell tale signs of pure ALA. Great product, would definitely buy again.
