Always DRY Vitamin E
I've been taking Vitamin E in its DRY form for over 40 years, because years ago I had numerous cysts in my breasts. My gynecologist said, " reduce caffeine intake and take 800 i.u. of DRY per day. After 1 year all of the cysts were gone. Since then, I've taken 400 iu every day and the cysts never returned. Her research indicated that the oil form of E is for males and females should always take the DRY form. I wanted to share this in case it could be helpful.

Excellent E
Vitamin E in dry form is an excellent option for those who use E in therapeutic doses (higher than RDA), regularly, for healing of lesions and/or cardiac health. E is a fat-soluble vitamin, (as are Vit. A & D), when taken suspended in oil, (usually in a "softgel"). In that form, Vit. E that's ingested but not used immediately by the body can be stored in the liver, where it could accumulate to a level that can be toxic. When in dry form, Vit. E becomes water-soluble. Then, any excess that a body doesn't use will be dissolved and processed by the kidneys, & excreted via urine. Vit. E can be of huge benefit in healing both external & internal tissue lesions - (post-surgical; periodontal surgeries & other oral chancre sores, etc.). It's also been cited as essential for cardiac health. The standard dose of 400 I.U. per capsule or softgel is well above the Required Daily Amount of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration - yet - 400 I.U. is unlikely to cause accumulation problems for any adult person, even in oil-based form. But children and pets can benefit equally from taking Vit. E, and the smaller the user, the lower the dose of the fat soluble form should be, to avoid accumulating the excess fat in the liver. One can find doses of 200 I.U., tho not as commonly. Most important, though, is: limiting the amount of E one may take to 200 or 400 I.U. will limit the benefits one receives. Taking more Vit. E can give more healing benefit. One can completely avoid accumulating oil-based, fat-soluble Vit. E in one's liver if one uses dry form Vit. E. It can be slightly more expensive, but taking dry form E means one can take "therapeutic doses," (higher doses as recommended by a registered dietician or nutrition counselor or an M.D. or N.D.). and know that any excess one's body doesn't need will be excreted naturally - so one gets all its benefits with no risk of toxic accumulation in liver. A Big Thank You to Now for making available this excellent form of Vit. E. In my experience of taking Vit. E post-periodontal surgery, (& other surg), the periodontist said my healing of gum tissues was notably rapid and tissue looked extremely healthy. I took 400 I.U. 2x/day. I'm small - approximately 110 lbs. Taking that amount, i had no adverse effects at all. Dry form E has helped my healing many times, (even Poison Ivy lesions). I'm deeply grateful Now is making dry form E available & I hope All Star Health will always carry it!
