Cat’s claw, or Uncaria tormentosa, is a vine grown in Central and South America. It gets its name from thorns that resemble cat’s claws. Cat’s claw bas been used by indigenous peoples of South and Central America as a medicinal plant for two thousand years or more. It has a wide-range of applications.

Health Benefits of Cat’s Claw

Research has identified compounds in Cats Claw that appear to act as anti-inflammatory,1 and possibly anticancer agents.2 A 2005 analysis Cat's Claw research supports its effectiveness against inflammation, viral infections and vascular conditions, and also for use as an immunostimulant and antibacterial agent.3
