Labeling is correct
Current bottle states 500mg on front. The "Serving Size" on the back recommends 2 capsules per serving, which totals 1000mg. However, you might start off by trying just one capsule in the evening and see if that helps with your sleeping pattern, it did for me. If not, perhaps try the full serving size. This supplement, plus magnesium and a 7 hr time release melatonin is the combo that works for me.

Disappointed by the misrepresentation of the labeling!
I think it is unethical to claim a 500 mg dosage in large letters on the front of the bottle when each pill is only 250 mg!
My next bottle will be another brand.

NOW Foods L-Tryptophan 500 mg Review
Easy to swallow slippery pill. Nothing is wasted compared to powder form. 1000 mg would be nicer and more cost effective.

Successful Sleep
Being a woman of a certain age, I often find its difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep. Now L-Tryptophan taken about 30 minutes before bedtime along with my calcium, magnesium and melatonin is a wonderful combination of natural sleep aids that relax me, get me to sleep and keep me that way. I wake up more refreshed and rested than if I didnt take them. I recently ran out of the L-Tryptophan only and the combination was incomplete. It really makes a difference in my sleep and a smooth mood.
