Chlorella: Information
Chlorella is a form of green algae used as a nutritional supplement primarily because of its dense concentration of chlorophyll and phytonutrients.
Chlorella's Health Benefits
Chlorella is a concentrated source of nutrients and chlorophyll, which makes it an excellent supplement for those who don't consume sufficient amounts of leafy green vegetables. Additionally, some users believe that greens such as chlorella have a beneficial alkalizing effect on body chemistry.
Using Chlorella
Three grams per day is a common daily dosage of chlorella, exact amounts vary with the user's preference and manufacturer guidelines. At this dose, you may not notice dramatic changes, however, your body will still benefit from of chlorella's amino acids (protein), vital minerals, vitamins, carbohydrates and enzymes. However, higher doses in the range of 5-7 grams per day are quite common too, and at this level improvements in digestion, energy and overall health become more readily apparent.
