Boron

Boron: Information

Boron is classified as a trace mineral nutrient. Trace minerals are nutritionally necessary, required in small (trace) amounts but also only available in small amounts from most diets. Therefore virtually all people will need mineral supplements to receive optimal levels of trace minerals like boron.

Health Benefits of Boron

Boron has two main benefits. First, as a bone building nutrient, boron is involved in the mineralization of bone tissue, that is, helping deliver and affix minerals into healthy bone structure.1,2 Boron is found in most Bone Support Formulas for this reason. Second, boron also plays a role in hormone balance and hormone production although the exact nature of this role is incompletely understood.3

Using Boron Supplements

Like all minerals, boron is best taken with food.
