Manufacturer's Directions
For Severe Bleeding: Apply Pressure Trauma Dressing
1. Place pad on wound & wrap the elastic bandage around limb or body part.
2. Insert elastic bandage into pressure applicator.
3. Tighten elastic bandage and...
4. ...pull back, forcing pressure applicator down onto pad.
5. Wrap elastic bandage tightly over pressure applicator. Wrap over all edges of pad.
6. Secure hooking ends of closure bar into elastic bandage.
If Bleeding Continues: Apply a Tourniquet
7. Wrap tourniquet above the wound, between the wound and the heart.
8. As you wrap the tourniquet, stretch until the ovals/rectangles turn to circles/squares and continue wrapping until bleeding stops.
9. To secure tourniquet, tuck the end under itself, then write the time of application on body above tourniquet. Leave tourniquet on no longer than 6 hours.
10. Call 911 and seek immediate medical attention.
